Atlantic Wreckfish Garum is a handcrafted Portuguese garum: a deeply savory fermented seasoning inspired by ancient Roman tradition and made with locally sourced fish from Portuguese waters.
Add two or three drops while cooking, seasoning, or marinating, then adjust to taste. It builds umami depth in soups, rice, pasta, vegetables, meat, and seafood.
Thawing & cooking
Storage: shelf-stable — keep in a cool, dry place away from light. Once opened, keep tightly closed; refrigerate for the longest-lasting flavor. • How to use: it's concentrated — start with 2–3 drops, taste, and adjust. • Cooking: add a few drops to soups, rice, pasta, stews, vegetables, meat and seafood near the end of cooking. • Seasoning: use in place of salt in vinaigrettes, butter, mayonnaise and marinades. • Marinating: combine with olive oil or vinegar, citrus, herbs and spices. • Delicate — try it in butter sauces, shellfish and white fish.
Think of it like a finer, more complex fish sauce or anchovy — pure umami. • A few drops in a Bloody Mary or Caesar dressing is a chef's trick.
